Cookie Policy
A short, plain-language note on the cookies and similar technologies used on brandingnarrative.com — what they do, how long they last, and how you can change your mind.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device, so the site can remember something about you between visits or page loads. Some cookies are technically necessary for the site to function. Others are optional — used for analytics, personalisation, or advertising. The European ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR require us to ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary.
2. The cookies this site sets
We try to keep the list short. As of the date above, this site sets the following cookies:
bn_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage entry). Stored locally in your browser to remember whether you have accepted or declined the cookie banner. It does not contain any personal data — only the choice and the time you made it. Stored until you clear your browser storage. Strictly necessary for the banner to behave properly; we set it regardless of your choice on the banner.
bn_session (cookie). A first-party session cookie, set only when you submit the contact form, used to attach a CSRF token to the request and validate it server-side. Expires when you close the browser. Strictly necessary; not subject to consent under Danish law.
bn_analytics (cookie). A first-party privacy-respecting analytics cookie, set only if you accept cookies on the banner. Records the page you visit, the referring URL, and a truncated IP-derived region indicator. Expires after 13 months. We do not share this data with advertising networks.
We do not currently use any third-party advertising or remarketing cookies. We do not embed Facebook Pixel, Google Ads tags, or similar tracking. If we ever change this, we will update this page and ask you to consent again.
3. How to change your mind
If you would like to revoke or change the consent you previously gave on the banner, the simplest way is to clear the site’s storage in your browser settings — your next visit will show the banner again with a fresh choice. You can also write to support@brandingnarrative.com and we will manually clear any data we hold tied to your past visits.
4. Browser controls
Most browsers let you block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete cookies on exit. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of this site (the contact form, primarily), but blocking analytics cookies will not affect your experience in any way. We honour the "Do Not Track" browser signal where it is sent: if your browser sends DNT, we will not set the analytics cookie even if you have previously accepted on the banner.
